Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) originated in ancient China and has evolved over thousands years ago.Chinese medicine is a system of medicine partly based on the idea that an energy, called qi, flows along pathways in the body called meridians. If the flow of qi along these meridians is blocked or unbalanced, illness can occur. Oriental medicine unblocks the obstruction of qi and restores balance of body, mind, and spirit and achieve overall well-being.
Acupuncture promotes natural healing. It can enhance recuperative power and immunity, support physical and emotional health, and improve overall function and well-being. At the core of this ancient medicine is the philosophy that Qi (pronounced “chee”), or vital energy, flows throughout the body.Qi animates the body and protects it from illness, pain and disease. A person’s health is influenced by the quality, quantity and balance of Qi. Qi flows through specific pathways called meridians. Qi will deplete or stagnate due to external influence, such as wind, cold, summer heat, dampness, dryness and fire, physical and emotional trauma, stress, lack of exercise, overexertion, seasonal changes, poor diet, or excessive activity. When a blockage or imbalance occurs, and the disruption is prolonged or excessive, Qi will deplete or stagnate and people get sick. Acupuncture can unblock the meridians, facilitate the flow of qi, replenish the Qi by inserting thin needles into the body at precise points. Acupuncture can eliminate pain and restore balance and harmony, as well as the body’s ability to heal itself—ultimately leading to optimal health and well-being.
Glass cup is placed on the skin to pull them upward to make a space between skin, muscle and bones to make Qi flow. Cupping is much like the inverse of massage Cupping therapy dates back to ancient Egyptian, the Ebers Papyrus, has a record of cupping therapy in 1,550 B.C. Chinese, and Middle Eastern cultures. Cupping therapy will open these meridians and the internal energy is able to flow through the whole body. Another healing aspect of cupping therapy is through the release of toxins in your body and blockage can be cleared, and blood vessels can be refreshed. Cupping is much like the inverse of massage - rather than applying pressure to muscles, it uses gentle pressure to pull them upward to make a space between skin, muscle and bones to make Qi flow. Cupping can help to align and relax Qi, patients feel totally relaxed and will reduce pain. This treatment is also valuable for the lungs, and can clear congestion from a common cold or help to control a person′s asthma. Three thousand years ago, in the earliest Chinese documentation of cupping, it was recommended for the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis.

Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture
Facial rejuvenation by Mei Zen Cosmetic acupuncture was created by Dr. Martha Lucus, Ph.D.,L.Ac. It is based on Traditional Chinese medicine which means that the treatment is balancing your overall Qi, thereby improving your general health. Cosmetic acupuncture works because the needling causes micro- traumas in the skin to which the body can respond by increasing blood flow and the production of collagen and elastin for wound healing. The needling, which is done at the level of the dermis, also may stimulate neurotransmitter production. From TCM perspective, Qi and blood are being brought to the face. Qi is being lifted, and the body’s energetic system is being put into balance. The treatments are scheduled twice a week for five weeks, I advise monthly treatments; minimally I recommend at least 2 treatments every 6 months.
NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association)
NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) developed auricular acupuncture protocol. It helps with emotional, physical, and psychological balance; reduce stress, calming, and mental clarity. NADA is beneficial for any kind of addiction, such as smoking, cravings, drugs, and alcohol. In 1957, Dr. Paul Nogier, France observed scars on the ears of patients who was successfully treated for sciatic pain. In 1974, Lincoln Hospital began a substance abuse program to replace methadone treatment with acupuncture. Over the next 10 years, an auricular acupuncture protocol was developed and fine- tuned that eliminated withdrawal symptoms and significantly decreased relapse rates. At first it was used solely on Methadone addicts, but then expanded in the treatment of all drug, alcohol, and smoking addictions. In 1985, the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) was founded to extend the example of Lincoln Hospital into other treatment settings. NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification) treatment is non-verbal, non-diagnostic modality, which will be held in a group setting and utilize 5 specific points in the ear. Ear is considered to be a micro-system. Two points are for calming, relaxing and centering, three points are for nourishing and restoring internally. It is beneficial in the process of detoxification from substance abuse and helps with the emotional, physical, and psychological attributes involved in addictions, reducing stress, centering feeling, balancing, calming, helping mental clarity, better sleep, and more energy.
